About
Jesus said in Matthew 11, “Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.”
I am a sinner and debtors to the grace of God. I love being outdoors, hiking, chocolate, running and yoga and am passionate about health and nutrition. I have homeschooled all 4 of my children (ages 16, 14, 11 and 9) for 11 years using the Charlotte Mason methodology. My husband and I recently moved back to our hometown to plant Christ the King church.
As we live ordinary life as ordinary people, our desire is to love with gentle and lowly hearts, taking the yoke of Christ to carry the burdens we cannot bear and learning from Him until He calls us home.
We hope you will join us along the way as we share bits of real life and community in our ministry endeavors, life as a family and a bit of our passions thrown into the mix too. There is no separation of the sacred and secular. Welcome friends!
One small thing I have found to take some pressure off of my life is learning not to answer the phone just because it is ringing. I have come to see that to some degree this compulsion to feel like I need to be available whenever anyone asks is a pride issue. I’m really not that important. (:
I’m resubmitting because I forgot to hit the notify me of other comments via email!
