My Rock

For those of you who do not yet know, Kevin resigned from his pastoral role at the church we were apart of here for the past 2 years.  While we are confident of this decision and have seen the Lord’s steady hand of direction leading us in this way, we have been on a roller coaster of emotions along the way. We are so thankful for God’s hand of grace upon our family.. While this is not what we planned, this is what God planned.  Our hearts resonate with John Flavel when he said “”The providence of God is like Hebrew words–it can be read only backwards.”  And we rejoice in His good and perfect guidance over our family and joyfully anticipate what He has for us next.

Today has been a day of further clarification for the next steps we will take on the road of living the calling of ministry. It’s going to be hard, but as we were reminded by our home-church pastor, “Life is short and you only have  a little bit of time. Don’t be afraid to do what is crazy.” I love that my pastor-husband’s heart can’t hear something like that and put it to the side. He let’s it change him- US.  So as we begin to open the doors to another way to walk in faith as a family and as followers of Christ, our hope is in our Rock- our Redeemer. It is HE who is higher than us. He who is faithful, will lead us…
