Over the past couple of months, I’ve been plowing through numerous books – thanks to the many nursing sessions I have with sweet baby Malachi. I’m thankful for such wonderful resources to glean from. Below is the list I’ve read through in order of my favorites first…
Henry Trumbull’s Hints on Child Training” this is a pure treasure of a book! We happened upon it through our Charlotte Mason home education research and it is truly a classic – written in the 1800’s – incredible insight that remains applicable for us to today. This is, quite possibly, our all-time favorite parenting book.
Such a great book on the Christian woman called to joyfully serve at home.
An excellent book for anyone dealing with depression or wanting to understand someone who is experiencing it – challenges you to look at your heart/sin as a root cause of depression.
Written by several Christian women together, one of them being Carolyn Mahaney – a favorite of mine.
There were some good insights and “nuggets” to be had in this one, though her writing style was a bit “cheesy.” But if you can look past that…you will find it encouraging. 🙂
