Multitude Monday and its’ Menu Musings

holy experience

*an ocean vast, unmeasured

*waves that bow at His command

*warm sand on my feet and

*her baby-chubby toes

*morning runs

*utter exhaustion that satisfies from the privilege of caring for wee little ones

*falling asleep with ease

*a bed to rest my weary body on

*doing our “everyday” in a different place

*husband who shares life’s responsibilities

*4 year old’s tears and

the gift of wiping them away

*sweetness of the early-evening bedtime routine

*green beans bursting through soil

*picking herbs and lettuce with big hands and small

*joy in cultivating, waiting and growing

* a garden that seems to smile at me

*the smell of freshly washed hands

*baby words

*God who gives

*and takes away

*using old things for new

*stopping for a moment to find gratitude

Parsley Salsa Verde (from Urban Farm magazine)

1/2 cup finely chopped fresh parsley

1 garlic clove, minced w/pinch of salt

1 shallot, finely diced

1 tsp. grated lemon zest

4 tsp. lemon juice, to taste

salt and freshly ground pepper

Whish ingredients together and season with salt/pepper to taste. Let stand 10 minutes and taste – adding more lemon juice if needed. Serve right away with tortilla chips. Also excellent on top of grilled chicken or fish.
