A life of gratitude
You’ll find this beautiful quote over at Holy Experience from where the gratitude community was so beautifully birthed. As we near Thanksgiving, my mind always begins to fall more intentionally on those heavenly things that cram up my life and those common bushes that glow brighter with the fire of God. And let’s just be honest, life is full of hard circumstances, discomfort and messy relationships. There is something, yes something even biblical, about setting our hearts on the goodness that is all around us if we are really looking for it.
“Give thanks in all circumstances for this is the will of God for you in Christ Jesus.”
1 Thessalonians 5:18
I’ve decided to take our little wooden family journal and open it up, pen tucked inside the binding, to be filled with one thousand gifts…
And I hope it’s even more….thousands upon thousands of real ways in which God has sparked that bush afire with gratitude in my heart – in our hearts as a family plucked from the depths of sin and planted into the even deeper riches of God’s love and grace.
Perhaps you will join us too?
