Kid’s Stats

We recently took 3 of the 4 kids for their well-check ups (Ellie got to go all by her self back in October). 7 shots later, we thought we needed to celebrate with some frozen yogurt! We continue to praise the Lord for His sustaining grace over our children and we are so thankful for their good health! Ash received the exciting news that she no longer is legally bound to a booster – though we will keep her in one the majority of time as it helps her to see out the window better and is generally “safer.”

For the baby records, here are baby boy’s stats (the girls all remain in the lower percentiles for their weight/height with Ellie being the closest to “average.” Ashtyn – 49 lbs, Jada 37 lbs and Ellie 30lbs) It’s so beautiful how our creator-God has made each child so unique!

Malachi’s 12 Month Stats:

Weight: 21.8 lbs (52nd %tile)

Height: 30 inches (43rd %tile)

Head:18.5 inches (71st %tile)

 

A Whole Year!

 

 

Our sweet little guy turned 1 – what  joy and BLESSING we’ve experienced during the first 12 months of life that God has sustained. We are so thankful to get to watch him grow, and learn and explore this great big world. And, really, he only gets cuter and life only gets more and more enjoyable as we see his personality start to bloom and as he finds his place in this family of ours. Happy 1st Birthday Malachi Peace, how we love you so! (Buddy-boy experienced his first real sugary treat, and though he was a bit un-sure at first about the entire cake placed before him, he quickly got the hang of it and enjoyed licking some frosting!)

 

Some 1 year mile-markers:

-cutting 3 teeth (on the top) at once!

-speedy crawling

- love for balls – out of control (throwing, rolling etc.)

-learning the sippy cup

-putting your arms out to people you recognize

-pulling up on all kinds of furniture, shelving, etc.

-eating real food

-clapping and laughing

-general happy/content disposition

-eating leaves and such

-learning to climb stairs

-shaking head “no” when you hear us tell you no

11 Months

On the 5th of this month, our little guy turned 11 months. We’ve been enjoying this month with him….so many firsts – he’s learning how to drink from a sippy cup, self-feeds, say’s “thank-you! (“dat-oooo!” is what it sounds like), signs “more please” and “all done” and just today he climbed his first 2 stairs and clapped for the first time as well as experienced his first Christmas tree this month, cut his 3rd tooth and threw his first ball.  And a lot of his boy-ness is starting to show – he loves to wrestle with pillows and tackle his daddy on the couch. So. Much. Fun! Malachi is constantly maneuvered and hoisted around by his big sisters but he is so sweet with them. Often, we will find him on the couch with one of his sisters, sucking his thumb and laying his (big!) head on their shoulder. It doesn’t get more precious than that!

 

10 Months!

 

I nearly forgot to post Malachi’s 10 month pictures….good thing I remembered 5 days before he turns 11 months We are so enjoying this precious little guy…he already say’s three words and learned them in this order: “Uh-Oh!”  “Book! (comes out like Buuuhh!) and he calls “Ellllllieeeee!” So sweet! Oh…and how can I forget? But 10 months marked the beginning of M’s crawling adventures. He’s a little tornado, but oh-so-cute! By far, he is the least-serious baby out of our 4.

9 Months

 

Before he was born, I couldn’t imagine what life would be like with him. Now, I can’t imagine life without him! He seems such a good balance of sweetness, silliness and just plain fun. We love our Malachi Peace! He has 2 teeth, has begun getting on all fours and rocking back and forth, waves hello/goodbye and shakes his little head when he gets excited about something. He’s also a master thumb-sucker (the 3rd out of 4 children to suck their thumbs in our family!) Currently, his favorite past-time is jumping in his jumper and eating – forget the babyfood, this little guy loves real food! Malachi had his 9 month check-up today and we praise the Lord for his good health.

Weight: 18.9 lbs (36th percentile)

Length: 27 inches (6th percentile)

7 Months

 

 

A squealing, babbling, drooling, rolling, spinach-banana-avocado-eating, smiling, blue-eyed chubby ball of delight, he is! Happy 7 months baby Kai!

 

 

 

 

 

6 Months

 

What a gift to celebrate 6 months of life with precious Malachi Peace. This little guy is tons of fun. His chub is just too good to be true and he makes lots of boy noises and smiles all the time. He LOVES jumping. He tries to jump when he is being held – pretty much all the time! He is such a content baby…going with the flow which I suppose is not a choice when you have 3 big sisters! He weighed in at 17lbs at his 6 month check up…topping all of his sisters at this age! We just began introducing solids which he is really starting to like. So far we’ve done avocados, bananas, peas and sweet potatoes. We are even trying water in a sippy-cup! Hope these pictures put a smile on your face, they sure do ours!
